Koncerty Live 8 przeszły do historii za sprawą szczytnego pomysłu pomocy krajom trzeciego świata. Drugiego lipca 2005 roku, dziesiątki artystów i miliony fanów zgromadziły się w 9 miastach świata by swoją obecnością przypomnieć o konieczności pomocy najbiedniejszym mieszkańcom naszego globu. Właśnie te koncerty zostały zapisane na 4 płytach DVD które można kupić w EMPiK-u wspomagając równocześnie tę szczytną akcję.
Live 8 to 9 koncertów które odbyły sie 2 lipca tego roku. Dziesiątki artystów wystapiło w Londynie, Berlinie, Paryżu, Rzymie, Filadelfii, Toronto, Tokio, Moskwie i Johannesburgu.

Widzowie mogli zobaczyć takie gwiazdy jak: Madonna, Coldplay, Robbie Williams, R.E.M., Manu Chao, Shakira, Snoop, The Cure, Scissor Sisters, U2, Destiny's Child, Linkin Park, Bjork, Green Day, Lauren Hill, Good Charlotte, Jamiroquai, Placebo.

Prawdziwą sensacją był występ Pink Floyd, którzy reaktywowali się w legendarnym składzie z Rogerem Watersem specjalnie na tę okazję.
