Insomnia

Insomnia - Stephen King

Ralph starts by waking up a little too early. Soon sleep slips away almost completely, and the nights fill with colours, shifting shapes and strange auras. He also begins to notice bald doctors appearing wherever death is near, and the loss of rest turns into something far harder to explain.

Ralph and Ed

As Ralph tries to understand what is happening to him, he also sees a change in his usually mild friend Ed. The violence building in Ed's behaviour seems tied to the same forces Ralph is only beginning to grasp.

A town heading for disaster

What begins as one man's insomnia widens into a threat hanging over his whole home town. Ralph's visions point toward an approaching Armageddon, where everyday life gives way to a waking nightmare.
