It was like I got the soul of a living Kurt Cobain in the form of a disk. It's so lively and so sad. When I listened to Nirvana for the first time, many years ago, I was hurt and melancholy from their songs, they caused me ... fear, depression, despair, a feeling that something was wrong? When I listened to their music for the first time, it sometimes seemed to me that Kurt himself hates what he does, hates what he sings about. In interviews, they said from the very beginning that they were doing it for the sake of music and only for its sake, but the songs themselves did not give the feeling that they were happy to do what they were doing. But when I listened to the demos on this CD ... they were so happy. I really feel soul and joy in their performances and homeplays and this correlates very much with the way they performed their songs towards the end of their career as a band. It makes me think ... What could and should have happened in order for them to preserve this enthusiasm, passion and, most importantly, happiness to this day? Didn't agree with the labels? Gone before the Smells Like Teen Spirit was released? Didn't make music the central career of their whole life, but would leave it as a hobby? I dont know. But I have to be honest with myself - if their music hadn't undergone modifications, edits from labels and all kinds of obscenities that Kurt, Chris and Dave did not like, I probably would never have heard of their at all. Neither edited nor alive one.

Płyta to głównie nagrania demo, z zadziwiająco dobrą jakością. Kilka utworów, których nie znajdziecie na innych płytach np. Do Re Mi. Polecam szczególnie tym, którzy spędzają godziny na przeglądaniu nagrań na yt, szukając nowych piosenek Nirvany do posłuchania. Już nie musicie :)

Płyta surowa i to bardzo wyjątkowa. Musicie sami jej przesłuchać. Szybka i ogromna kariera świeżo powstałego zespołu jak i gatunku muzycznego. Chłopaki z Seatlle, stali się szybko pionierami nowego trendu. To był prawdziwy głos pokolenia. Niestety nie każdy wytrzymał takiego skoku kariery i otaczających negatywów sławy. Wraz z samobójstwem wokalisty i gitarzysty Kurta Cobaina zespół przestał istnieć.Podczas odsłuchu albumu czuję się jakbym przeniosła się w czasie i poszła z zespołem do ich garażu. Właśnie takie są odczucia, jakbyśmy mogli słuchać ich naturalnych wykonań w domowym środowisku.

Aż się łezka w oku kręci. Z Nirvaną wiążę swoje najlepsze muzyczne wspomnienia, podobnie jest z tym albumem, świetne, niezapomniane kawałki. Fajnie tego słuchać po latach, takie nieco brudne, rockowe garażowe brzmienie. Kompozycje, które nic nie straciły na znaczeniu, ci którzy nie znają, nie wiedzą co tracą z rocka...

Do kupna tego albumu zachęcił mnie mój znajomy. Zobaczyłem u niego ten krążek i puścił mi parę kawałków z niego. Jak tylko usłyszałem utwór "Smells Like Teen Spirit (Boom Box Version)" i "You Know You''re Right (Home Demo)" to już wiedziałem, że muszę mieć ten krążek. Decyzji nie żałuję! Polecam!

Uwielbiam tę płytkę :) Jedna z lepszych jakie miałam okazje przesłuchać.
