Albert Einstein był najwybitniejszym fizykiem - teoretykiem XX wieku, autorem ogólnej i szczególnej teorii względności. W 1921 roku otrzymał Nagrodę Nobla w dziedzinie fizyki. Opublikował ponad 450 prac, z czego ponad 300 miało charakter naukowy. Urodził się w 1879 roku w Ulm w Niemczech. W 1930 roku wyemigrował do Stanów Zjednoczonych. W ostatnich latach życia pracował nad teorią wielkiej unifikacji. Zmarł w 1955 roku na tętniaka aorty w Princeton.
