With more than 200 hours of film material, Reinhard Kahl has assembled the picture of a possible future. The film was shot during classes and everyday school life, with interviews done with teachers, students, parents and researchers in various parts of Germany. The result: the future has already long since begun in some schools, and the film presents it. At the same time, the gap becomes apparent between it and the often dreary normal school routine. This is still dominated, as the cognitive psychologist Elsbeth Stern notes in the film, by "Easter Bunny" teaching: teachers hide the knowledge, and the students have to look for it. Reinhard Kahl a construit l'image d'un avenir possible ŕ partir de plus de 200 heures de film. Les séquences ont été tournées pendant les cours et les journées scolaires. Des professeurs, des élčves, des parents et des scientifiques ont été interviewés dans différentes partys de l'Allemagne. Résultat: dans certaines écoles, l'avenir a déjŕ commencé. Le film le montre et met ainsi en évidence l'écart avec le quotidien souvent triste des cours traditionnels. Il y rčgne souvent, comme le fait remarquer Elsbeth Stern, spécialiste en psychologie cognitive, la "pédagogie des cloches de Pâques": les enseignants dissimulent le savoir que les élčves sont chargés de trouver.
